Where were you born? Long Beach, California
What’s your favorite food? Japanese food
Who’s your Hero? Jesus Christ, Neil Young, and America's kick ass veterans. My racing hero's are the Super Seniors.
Who’s your favorite racers? I love to watch all of the fast desert racers. I especially admire Destry Abbott and Paul Kraus.
What’s your racing background? I rode motorcycles when I was a kid from about age 8 to 12. Then my family sold the bikes. Fast forward 23 years. I decide I want to ride again. I have no clue what to buy or where to ride. I buy bikes for the entire family. We immediatly start going out the desert every weekend. I am hooked. We go on tons of play riding trips to El Mirage, then work our way to Lucerne. Then, in June 2004, about 10 months after I start riding, we're camped at Cougar Buttes. I go over and watch part of the RUTS race. I had no idea about anything like this. So, for the next two and a half months I hung out on the D37 message board trying to figure out what this was all about - and I WAITED impatiently for the next race, which was Invaders. I show up at invaders. I take off the line, and about 5 miles later I fell and broke off my clutch lever - DNFing the race. My next race was SoCal. I ended up finishing this race, but it was really hard for me. I am hooked on the challenge and thrill of desert racing. I am working hard to improve my results without pushing myself too hard and ending up in the hospital.
What’s your racing highlights? Anytime I finish a race it's a highlight for me.
Racing Goals? To race in the Super Senior class.
Racing Class? Vet 250 Novice
Biggest Race? Biggest race for me so far was my second race ever and first finish, which was the 2004 SoCal race. Took me forever to finish just one loop and I was dead tired, but I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I finished.
Lowest D37 Number Held? V40X
Best accomplishment? Finishing college while raising two small kids, getting my MCDBA certification, working hard and working my way the ol' pay scale, and being able to afford to introduce my family to the great sport of off-road motorcycle riding and racing.
Crossover sports: I don't participate in many other sports. I like to work out at the gym, but that's not really a sport.
Current Sponsors: I have no official sponsors, but Lipert does treat me right.
